In 2020, the pandemic swept across the globe. Buffalo Bio-Medical was founded to treat critical patients, investing in the development of innovative therapies for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). At the heart of this research is medical-grade activated carbon, a field Dr. Ming-Chien Hung has dedicated nearly 20 years to: a drug-free, gentle, and safe method of physically adsorbing harmful substances.

During the research and development process, we identified another overlooked need. Long-term care facilities, childcare centers, and pet-owning households often rely solely on fragrances to mask odors. Thus, we brought this technology into daily life, and Bufflex was born: instead of masking odors, it effectively removes them.
